Young Adults

 

  The Young Adults Program is designed as follows:

  • Organize social events for young adults and young families, to include children
  • For ages 22 to 45
  • Organize social events for ADULTS ONLY
  • To promote young family involvement in local Granges
  • Promote meetings at local Granges that are more family friendly

 

Young Adults Contest

Horizon Leadership Recognition Program- Young Couple

  • Young couples that have been married and have been Grange Members for a minimum of 1 year, neither partner having reached 35 years of age by September 30 in the year they are competing
  • An interview will be conducted to determine Ambassador potential coordinated by the Young Adults Directors
  • A written test to be given by the Young Adults Directors

Winners will receive a sash to wear for their one year term. Deadline: Application must be turned in by October 1

Mr and Mrs Grange

This is awarded to a couple who is actively involved with Grange, on a local, subordinate or state level. This Couple’s contribution of Grange should be outstanding and worthy of state recognition.

  • Members must be over the age of 35
  • Grange Membership requirement of 2 years minimum
  • This entry must be made by nomination

The following information must be provided with the nomination

  1. Name of Nominee, Address, Subordinate Grange, Pomona Grange and Degrees Held
  2. List of Officers and Committees served on
  3. Describe three major Grange activities and accomplishments
  4. List Outside Grange Activities, such as Church, school etc...
  5. List any Grange contest or awards won

Award- will be announced at State Session and presented with a sash to wear for one year Deadline- October 1 to the Young Adults Directors

Outstanding Granger 

This award is presented to an individual who is actively involved with Grange on a local, subordinate or state level

  • Member must be over the age of 45
  • Grange Membership requirements- 2 years minimum 
  • This entry must be made by nomination

The following information must be provided with the nomination

  1. Name of Nominee, Address, Subordinate Grange, Pomona Grange and Degrees Held
  2. List of Officers and Committees served on
  3. Describe three major Grange activities and accomplishments
  4. List Outside Grange Activities, such as Church, school etc...
  5. List any Grange contest or awards won

Award- will be announced at state session and presented with a sash to wear for one year Deadline- October 1 to the Young Adults Directors

 Outstanding Young Adults

  • Grange Membership requirement- 2 years minimum
