The 137th Annual Session of the Massachusetts State Grange will be held in Milford from October 22 - 25, 2009.  On Saturday, in addition to the Celebration Banquet and Conferral of the Sixth Degree, we will have a special celebration and luncheon honoring the 100th Anniversary of Junior Grange in Massachusetts .  On Friday, we will have the Agriculture & Legislative luncheon, the Youth & Young Adults dinner and the Lecturer’s program including performances by some of the talent contest, public speaking and sign a song participants.

We recommend that every Grange send representatives to State Session and ask each Grange to take the time to submit at least one resolution either on a Grange related topic or an issue affecting our state or nation.  Please be sure to submit all resolutions to the State Secretary by August 1, 2009.

The State Grange Session will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Milford, 11 Beaver Street, Milford, MA 01757

Room rates including taxes are $126.16 per room per night.  The State Grange will be underwriting the cost of rooms using the proceeds from the food booth at the Big E; the State Grange will contribute $25.00 per room per night bringing the cost down to $101.16 per room per night.  

A reservation form is at right (PDF or Fill-In); please send to the hotel to make your reservation.  The deadline for reservations is September 23, 2009, and all rooms are available on a first come first serve basis.

 

A meal reservation form is at right (PDF or Fill-In); please return this form to the State Steward, Matthew Johnson 22 Jordan Street Haverhill, MA 01830   These meal reservations forms must be returned before October 10, 2009.


The session program, resolutions, delegates’ credentials, and non-delegate registration forms will be mailed out in August.  Please remember in order to send delegates to session the Grange must have filed all reports and required dues with the State Secretary through June 30, 2009.
